Willowdale State Forest – Woody Plant Identification and Removal of Invasives
Join us every other Thursday from 10am-12pm at Willowdale State Forest.
Volunteer training on woody plant identification, while working to cut and remove roots of nasty woody invasive plants.
We tackle glossy buckthorn, common buckthorn, winged euonymus, privet, oriental bittersweet, Japanese honeysuckle, multi-flora rose and barberry to name a few.
We meet at the Ipswich Road parking area closest to the Bradley Palmer footbridge.
For more information, contact Mary-Ellen Dixon at medixongardens@gmail.com or 978-578-6110
NOTE: The meet-up locations stagger weekly between the state forest and IRWA Riverbend with some possible changes, so it is best for people to contact Mary-Ellen or check the FB page “Gardens by Mary-Ellen Dixon” for updates:
Thank you in advance for your help!
