The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Office of Sustainability and friends will be tabling at the Commons Main Street on February 20th during free hour (12-1PM) to raise awareness about how invasive species are impacting our campus and beyond. Everyone is welcome to come visit and ask us any questions you may have! Our SEI Climate Corps Sustainability Fellow, Isabel “Bella” Dastvan, organized this event to collaborate with other environmentally focused groups on campus, and to show the work she is doing to develop an invasive species management plan for UMBC. She will be showing a recently completed invasive plants map of campus, our top invasive species of concern, and get students interested and involved in invasive species cleanups later in the semester!
