Forest Friday at Columbus County Park

March 4, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Friday, repeating until March 25, 2022

Free

Every week, Friends of the St. Clair River staff and volunteers continue their mission to protect this 400 acre park from invasive species found within the high-quality habitat of mature hardwood trees and native ephemeral plants such as Red Trillium, Trout Lilies, and Dwarf Ginseng. This winter’s campaign is well underway to remove woody invasive species such as Multiflora Rose and Japanese Barberry, and our team can use your help! To learn more about woody invasive plants and how to remove them from the landscape, bundle up and bring your best pair of garden gloves and branch loppers and help us get to work!
